Note: DNS changes may take 24–48 hours to propagate. Avoid making changes before important events.

Common Record Types

A Records (main addresses)

Link a domain or subdomain to a server's IP address:

  • coretest.com. → 5.253.178.5
  • www.coretest.com. → 5.253.178.5
  • mail.coretest.com. → 5.253.178.5

MX Record (email)

Specifies the mail server for the domain:

coretest.com. MX mail.coretest.com. (priority = 10)

The lower the number, the higher the priority.

NS Records (name servers)

Indicate which servers manage your domain:

  • ns.core.hosting. (primary)
  • ns2.core.hosting. (secondary)
These records usually should not be changed manually!

How to Add a New Record

  1. Log in to your client area
  2. Go to Domains → Manage DNS
  3. Select the domain you want to edit
  4. Click Add Record
  5. Fill in the following fields:
    • Name: (e.g., @, www, mail)
    • Type: (A, MX, CNAME, etc.)
    • Value: (IP or hostname)
    • TTL: (e.g., 3600)
  6. Click Save
Warning: Do not modify SOA or NS records unless instructed by support. It may break your domain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't I see some records?

Some system-managed records (like SOA) may be hidden or read-only. They are controlled automatically.

How can I move my domain to another host?

You need to update the NS records at your domain registrar. Contact your new hosting provider for instructions.
